This morning Jane, Steph and I took a trip to a flower market in Southampton! For Mum and Steph this is a weekly occurrence, but this was my first time. We left at 6:30am and picked up a weary looking Steph and drove the little blue Van to Nursling. After we headed straight for the coffee machine, we picked out some gorgeous, fresh flowers from their rows and rows of floral beauties and of course lots of beautiful blooms for Valentines Day (5 days people).

The shop is overflowing with lovely blooms and we're enjoying a busy Saturday. Don't forget to pop down to the Flower shop in Hythe, Southampton, we have some lovely spring flowers to brighten up the house this weekend.

Hello everyone,

So Christmas is over and the shop is feeling very empty :(, thankfully we still have some left over chocolates and biscuits from some of our lovely customers, so all is not lost, but the festive period is certainly wrapping up! We hope you all had wonderful Christmases, we all had a fabulous and relaxing few days and would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their support this year and say a big Happy New Year to everyone!  

We look forward to the New Year and the arrival of new seasonal beauties, one our favourites is the Tulip, Jane's favourite and mine! Available to order next week! I just thought I would pop a picture of this beautiful Christmas Bouquet Jane and the girls did a few days ago, as I think it's just too beautiful not to be shared! Two dozen red roses with lots of lovely Christmassy foliage just looked so gorgeous and so romantic at this time of year!

The picture doesn't really do it justice but it was fabulous, I'm very envious of the lucky lady who received it! The girls here have so many fab ideas for Christmassy flowers and a gift that's a bit different, so if you've been a bit last minute last year, or want to treat yourself some Christmas flowers, JBF is delivering in the Waterside, Southampton and The New Forest areas up to Christmas Eve! The girls will also have Christmas handtieds, table arrangements, bouquets, plants and much more made up at the shop all weekend and Christmas eve, so pop in! It's that time again! Christmas has arrived. A lot of people are moaning that Christmas seems to have come too early this year, but at Jane Bidwell Flowers it couldn't have come soon enough! In fairness, we do begin getting excited around October, which to some will probably seem a bit freaky, but it's the end of November now people, let's embrace it!!

Every year, the beautifully decorated Jane Bidwell Flowers Christmas Tree attracts lots of attention in the village and  this year's 10 ft snow covered home-spun Christmas themed beauty is no exception. Steph and Jane have created a beautiful Christmas window display, showcasing their Christmas creations for everyone!

Whether it's a Christmas Bouquet for a loved one, a Christmas Table arrangement, a Christmas door ring or just some new tree decorations, our Hythe flower shop has it all, to suit everyone's budget. We also deliver around the Waterside, The New Forest and Southampton on Christmas Eve!

So pop into the Hythe flower shop and have a look around at the Christmas beauties! And be assured, if you're not feeling Christmassy yet, you will by the end of your visit!

Weddings are often thought of as a summery event, and this summer we did some beautiful weddings in the New Forest and Southampton at some fab venues, but now comes the time for Autumnal, Winter and my favourite, Christmas Weddings! Autumn is my favourite time of year, when the cold bites and everyone cosies up in coats and hats and the trees line the streets with a splashes of crunchy orange leaves waiting for those frosty mornings, I just love it!

The cold weather can put some people off, but Winter Weddings can be so beautiful, especially in the New Forest and Southampton. Think cosy venues, candle light, open fires, rich colours and beautiful festive flowers! Jane Bidwell Flowers did their first Autumn Wedding very recently, the bridal bouquet can be seen below, I think the colours are so lovely and are perfect for an October Wedding with a festive twist!

We have had some fab Halloween flowers and spooky bits and bobs in this year, particularly our ghoulish gourds I shared with you all last week, but we have gone one better this week! Glow in the dark roses! White roses with a glow that's fantastic and a little bit creepy! These bright beauties are standing in our Hythe flower shop window in pride of place on our Halloween table!

So pop down and take a look for yourselves or even buy a few to brighten up these dark winter nights! :)
